CONDUCTOR

Audiences crave variety and connection, and I am happy to deliver!  My choirs sing music spanning 10 centuries, 6 continents, and over 30 languages.   Across genres, I love to share with audiences the physical feel of each new song, as every style brings its unique gestures and grooves to entrance our emotions.

My performing specialties include classical, pop, gospel and spirituals, musical theatre, and jazz standards.  But there's a world of music to explore, and I think it's it's vital to continually explore new literature and acquire new skills.  At Wheaton, our Visiting Artist program has allowed me to collaborate with specialists in traditions spanning the globe, picking up new ideas and experience each time.  Visiting Artists in recent years have incuded Skylark Vocal Ensemble, Roomful of Teeth, the King's Singers, Rockapella and Take 6, Tatiana Sarbinska (Bulgarian), Celia Malheiro (Brazilian jazz), Dominique Eade and Time Out (vocal jazz), Donnell Patterson, Jonathan Singleton and Phillip Woods (gospel), Karan Casey (Celtic folk), Issa Coulibaly (West African), Orchid Ensemble & Jing Ling Tam (southeast Asian), Valerie Naranjo (Native American), and many more.
