Greetings, musical friends!

​For some of my new pieces, I am seeking strong video performances for publishers and promotion.   If you have a great choir and can provide a terrific performance video recording this coming year, please contact me.  I'd welcome your involvement!    Selected recordings will be included on my website and shared with my publishers.

Not seeing the right piece to fit your needs?   I'd love to hear your ideas for new pieces.  If you pitch an idea that I pursue, I'll be glad to give you first option on a premiere.   And of course, I'm always eager to discuss commissions.

A magical lullaby, setting Tagore's poem "My Song" from Crescent Moon (1913).

This song of mine will wind its music around you, my child, like the fond arms of love.

This song of mine will touch your forehead like a kiss of
blessing.

When you are alone it will sit by your side and whisper in your ear, when you are in the crowd it will fence you about with aloofness.

My song will be like a pair of wings to your dreams, it will transport your heart to the verge of the unknown.

SA VERSION PREMIERE ​
In Praise of Light   |   A rare setting of the poetry of Phillis Wheatley, for for SA or SAB choir and piano.   |   6'

Phillis Wheatley (c. 1753-1784) was America's first published African American.   Here is a rare choral celebration of her poetry, made accessible through word painting and infectious energy. There's a lovely contrasting lullaby in the middle.
